I am Maria
Since I mostly work on recommendations, I don't have a proper web for showcasing my work, so I just made one for you on a page of our family gardening business (just so you are aware, if you click on other parts of this web :)).
In 2018 I earned my master's degree from the Department of Film Editing at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, where I spent most of my studies falling in love with documentary film and exploring its structure. I've edited several short documentaries, single-handedly cut one feature-length documentary and co-edited a second.
I've also edited TV shows, commercials, local weekly news, and everything in between. But ever since I discovered that the thing I love most in the world is editing something meaningful, something that brings me joy and a (non-monetary) satisfaction, I lost my patience for projects I was only in for the paycheck, ones that brought little real value to me or anyone else. So I gave them up altogether. Now I have the privilege of editing only what I like and believe in, and in between I help with my family's business.
Because money was never a good reason to stop loving films.
Nothing is. :)
